CHICHESTER DISTRICT COUNCIL’S CHRISTMAS WASTE AND RECYCLING ARRANGEMENTS
Chichester District Council’s waste and recycling crews will be working throughout the festive period although, as usual, there will be a few changes to the day of collection.
Residents should note that collections will be a day early on the week before Christmas and if you normally have a collection on Mondays, it will be done on Saturday 19 December.

Everybody tends to have more waste to get rid of at this time of year, but don’t forget that Christmas cards, envelopes and wrapping paper can all be recycled in your burgundy wheeled bin.
Unfortunately, plastic/foil paper cannot be recycled in this district.
If you have subscribed to the green bin composting service, real Christmas trees can be placed next to the green bin on the first collection day following the New Year.
The tree should be free of all decorations. Christmas trees can be taken to the Household Waste and Recycling Sites at Westhampnett and Midhurst to be composted.
Alternatively, the tree will be collected and taken to the landfill if it is placed next to the black bin on the first waste collection day after the New Year.
