Welcome to the Earnley Parish Council web site. The Council covers the communities of Earnley, Almodington, Batchmere and Somerley. The parish has just over 300 residents and is situated about six miles south of Chichester on the coast in Sussex (see map link on Services page) If you are not already, you can view this site  by simply using www.earnley.info, add it to your favourites!

Our Mission

 The Parish Council exists to serve the community from which we are elected. Whilst we have limited powers, we are able to influence decisions that affect you. We are there to represent the Parish on matters such as planning, highways and drainage. We welcome the views of parishioners at any time and particularly at Parish Council Meetings. Click on News to see when and where we hold meetings. Click on Minutes to see the last three sets of minutes. Member of Council since it was formed in 1983 and vice chairman since 1990 Earnley resident since 1974. Freelance Journalist  Previously a Parliamentary Candidate.

Chris Bayley,

 Retired Training Manager with an international energy corporation. Moved to the Manhood Peninsular fifteen years ago. Chris has special interests in planning and the environment

Michael Karn

Retired Chartered Town Planner, having worked in both public and private sectors.  Now a genealogist and 'house detective'.  Council member since 2003 and responsible for planning matters.Closely associated with Earnley since 1965.  Somerley resident since 1975.
